SALEM – Details concerning the process to fill an upcoming vacancy on the Salem School Committee have been announced after member Rachel Hunt recently announced her departure from the board. A joint special meeting of the School Committee and the City Council will take place on Wed. July 20, 2016 at 6PM in the City Council chambers at City Hall. The Salem City Charter designates the School Committee and the City Council to select the replacement for the seat who will serve through the conclusion of Ms. Hunt’s term on December 31, 2017.
